A shocking CCTV video involving a senior Buddhist monk in Thailand has exploded across social media, sparking outrage and a much bigger investigation. The monk, identified as Phra Wachirayan Wi, also known as Luang Por Atichot, was the abbot of the historic Wat Phutthaisawan temple in Ayutthaya. Thai authorities arrested him this week as part of a case involving alleged financial misconduct and money laundering.
