Haliey Welch, famously known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” skyrocketed to internet stardom in June 2024 after her viral street interview with Tim & Dee TV, where her cheeky “hawk tuah” catchphrase took social media by storm. The Tennessee native capitalized on her fame, launching the “Talk Tuah” podcast, merchandise, and even throwing the first pitch at a Mets game.
Following the scandal, Welch went dark, with no Instagram or X posts since December 20, 2024, and no new “Talk Tuah” episodes since December 3. She reemerged in March 2025, addressing the controversy in a Vanity Fair interview and her podcast, expressing regret: “I hate that that’s even a thing. Half of those people that [bought] it were, like, my fans.
