Not long after it surfaced, the video began circulating quickly across platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Telegram, gaining thousands of views in a short time. The video has stirred strong emotions online, with many expressing anger and disappointment about what appears to be abuse in the entertainment space.

After the incident, Shruthi Narayanan took steps to guard her privacy by switching her Instagram account to private, reducing who can view her updates and posts.

She has now addressed the issue in a message shared through her Instagram story. In her words:

My family and close friends have feelings too. What’s happening right now is only making things worse. I am pleading with everyone to stop spreading this like wildfire. Before you share or watch such things, ask yourself how you’d feel if it were your mother, sister, or girlfriend in the same situation. They have the same body I have, so maybe you should share theirs instead, since you find it entertaining.”
