Rajasthani Viral video: Rajasthani Woman Ties Rakhi to Leopard Viral Video 2025: Watch Full Clip Here and Internet Reactions
In a heartwarming yet bizarre display of compassion and cultural tradition, an old video from Rajasthan has resurfaced and gone viral once again during Raksha Bandhan 2025. The clip shows a courageous woman calmly tying a Rakhi—a sacred thread symbolizing protection and sibling bond—to a leopard’s paw. Shared widely on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), the video captures the essence of “Incredible India,” where human-animal interactions often blur the lines between fear and kindness.
The footage, originally posted by the handle ‘VinoBhojak’ on X, depicts the woman approaching the seemingly injured leopard in a grassy area. Dressed in traditional attire, she gently performs the ritual while the big cat remains remarkably still, almost as if understanding the gesture. Although the exact location and date of the original recording remain unverified, the video’s resurgence on August 9, 2025—Raksha Bandhan day—has sparked widespread amusement and admiration online.
Raksha Bandhan, a cherished Hindu festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, falls on the full moon day of the Shravan month. This year, it was observed on August 9, with sisters tying Rakhis to their brothers and praying for their well-being. The viral video twists this tradition by extending the protective thread to an unlikely “brother”—a wild leopard—highlighting Rajasthan’s rich cultural tapestry and the state’s unique wildlife encounters.
Internet users have reacted with a mix of humor, awe, and skepticism. One commenter quipped, “All the cattle of that village will be siblings of that leopard from now on,” while another praised, “Heartwarming. Our country’s people are usually very kind-hearted.” The clip has amassed thousands of views, likes, and shares, with many calling it a perfect example of why “India is not even for beginners.”
